7/30 Last Thursday GARDEN POTLUCK & OUTREACH BRAINSTORMING SESSION followed by ALBERTA ART/STREET FAIR

Potluck & Outreach Brainstorming, 6:00-7:30 pm.  Please bring potluck food &/or beverage you would really enjoy yourself, and enough to share with at least 3-4 other men.

The wonderfully fun & bright Tim Brightside has agreed to lead Manifest’s Outreach Team with the purpose of helping Manifest more effectively reach five target groups:  *men under 30, *men over 60, *men living with chronic illness, *men of color , & *men in the gay/bi business & professional groups.  Tim wants to bring together men who have some interest in helping Manifest reach these groups.  The idea is to have fun: create a vision and then plan how to reach these groups easily and consistently as a team.

We’ll look at how we might do better in-person networking, online outreach, word-of-mouth invitations by Manifest participants, fliers in businesses & organizations where men in the target groups are likely to be, and through website optimization (link swapping).  We are trying to build an outreach team that can create an outreach vision, plan, and divide up tasks into small steps that lots of men can easily help with.

After the potluck and brainstorming, we’ll head out to Alberta St.’s Last Thursday – the best monthly neighborhood art & street fair in Portland!

Thanks for helping Manifest figure out how to reach out to new men who will benefit from our programs and enrich all our lives.  Please invite a friend to attend the brainstorming.  We’d especially like participants from the target groups to attend the outreach meeting so they can help us brainstorm and become more involved in imagining how we should grow.
